ESPN predicts Bengals chances of landing top draft pick in 2020

The Bengals have had a rather disappointing start to the 2019 NFL season. Despite the acquisition of new head coach, Zac Taylor, Cincinnati is winless through the first three weeks of the season.

Not all hope is lost, however. A panel of experts at ESPN recently predicted where each team would wind up by the end of the season, and who would have the number one pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Despite their 0-3 start, they determined the Bengals have just a 4.7 percent chance of landing the top pick.

Though being able to snag a player like Tua Tagovailoa without a trade-up would be a dream scenario for Cincinnati, perhaps ESPN believes the Bengals will be more competitive than we think.

The Dolphins, Redskins, and Cardinals were all given better odds to land the top spot in next years draft. Miami is the overwhelming favorite to do so. They were given an astounding 76.6 percent chance to pick number one in April.

Not only do the Bengals stand a small chance at the top pick in next year's draft, they were also given just a 51.3 percent chance to grab a top 5 pick.

The Bengals season is on the line this Monday night, and a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers this week is a must if they want to keep any hope alive of a competitive season in 2019. We will soon find out of their odds of earning the top spot in next year's draft will increase or decrease.

I'm fairly certain Miami gets this pick. Bengals could get a handful of wins still.
