CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is fully cleared, but don't expect to see him much this preseason.
Albert Breer of the Monday Morning Quarterback says the 24-year-old may take the field, but he won't be out there long.
"I wouldn't expect to see much from Joe Burrow in preseason games," Breer tweeted after attending Bengals camp earlier this week. "Team's going to be careful with him, maybe get him a series or two. But won't overdo it. Everyone feels good on where he's at 9 months post-op."
It's not shocking considering Bengals owner Mike Brown said the team could hold him out of all three preseason games.
Burrow (rest) didn't practice on Wednesday. With Thursday being an off day, the team wanted to give him back-to-back off days. He's expected to practice on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
