CINCINNATI — Myles Garrett has officially requested a trade. The Browns star released a statement through Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

"While I've loved calling this city my home, my desire to win and compete on the biggest stages won't allow me to be complacent," Garrett said in a statement. "The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl."

The Browns superstar and reigning Defensive Player of the Year has been a thorn in the Bengals' side since Cleveland took him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

The former No. 1 overall pick is 8-4 against the Bengals. He was 8-2 prior to the 2024 season.

Garrett has 13 sacks, 13 tackles for loss and 27 quarterback hits in 12 games against the Bengals. There isn't another single player that has made things harder for Joe Burrow and the Bengals' offense.

The Browns are reportedly standing firm in their stance of not trading Garrett. General manager Andrew Berry said they won't trade Garrett no matter what they're offered.

"I want to win. I want the Browns to put me and us in a position to win. I'm not trying to rebuild, I'm trying to win right now," Garrett said last month before the Browns' matchup with the Bengals. "There's gotta be a plan of action and just gotta know where things are going."
