LISTEN: Gut Reaction | What Broncos' 26-24 loss to Jaguars means for 2019 & beyond
(Podcast embedded below)
Despite holding a 14-point lead more than halfway through the second quarter, the Denver Broncos fell to the Jacksonville Jaguars 26-24 in Week 4.
Once again, the Broncos beat themselves. From an ill-timed Joe Flacco interception in plus-territory, to an inability to stop the run, to yet another roughing-the-passer penalty in the clutch, the Broncos couldn't keep from shooting themselves in the foot.
The talking points coming from the locker room have been optimistic in the weeks leading up to this loss to Jacksonville, but after the game, the players' remarks were tinged with frustration and exasperation.
The Broncos have forgotten how to win.
In the latest episode of the Huddle Up Podcast, Zack Kelberman and I answer the following listener questions and more:
- In the wake of this 0-4 start, where does this team go from here?
- Should the priorities shift? If so, what should be front-and-center for the Broncos?
- Is it time to abandon the pretense of this team being competitive?
- Is there any hope for the Broncos to turn this season around?
