There are a handful of Broncos to monitor closely in the team's second preseason game.

The Denver Broncos will take on a familiar preseason opponent in the second game of the summer in the Seattle Seahawks. The last time these two teams met was in Week 1 of the regular season, with the Broncos coming out on top in a close one.

Although this will be just an exhibition game, the Seahawks would love nothing more than to beat Denver in front of the Seattle home crowd. It's important to remember that as much as the Broncos would prefer to emerge with the 'W', the preseason is more about evaluation.

That means evaluating specific units, position groups, play-calls and of course, individual players. With one preseason game in the books, we have a little better bead on how certain players are progressing. And there are a lot of new faces in Denver.

This week, there are six players I'll be watching the closest. Each guy's performance — whether good or bad — comes with its own unique set of implications.

Some guys are more established vets, while others are young players, or backups. The Broncos' roster features a pretty good balance of veterans and youth and the team will need them all to accomplish its goals in 2019.

That's why the preseason, again, is such an invaluable evaluation tool.

In the video above, I lay out each one and why it's important to monitor these players vs. the Seahawks. As always, I want to hear what you think so before you click out of here, sound off with a comment and join the conversation.
