Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield scrambled for a first down against the Seattle Seahawks and came up appearing to grab his hip. The proceeding plays, he grabbed at it and ultimately went down to a knee after throwing a pass. He is now headed to the locker room to be evaluated, which would have Garrett Gilbert as the team's quarterback.

Mayfield hung in until Nick Chubble fumbled on a screen pass, which was the Browns fourth turnover of the game when including the blocked punt. He appeared to be in significant pain on a particular throw when he dropped to a knee right after throwing a pass.

The Browns, in the event Mayfield is unable to play, now have to turn to Garrett Gilbert at quarterback. Gilbert has looked solid in stints of the preseason, but this would be his first game experience in the regular season for the Browns and obviously it would be in a tough spot.

Mayfield has jogged back out of the locker room. It remains to be seen if he will keep playing or not, but it certainly seems like he's going to continue. It's a one score game and the Browns have the bye week coming, so if they feel like he can't do any further damage, it may be entirely a matter of how much pain he can tolerate.
