Browns Showing Most interest in Baldwin Wallace DB Anthony Kendall, Source Says

The Browns, along with several other NFL teams, have shown interest in Baldwin Wallace cornerback Anthony Kendall ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft. In fact, Cleveland has shown the most interest thus far, I'm told.

The Browns are not the only team who have expressed interest in Anthony Kendall, however, they've had several meetings with the D3 All-American and were the first NFL team to contact him, per a source.

Along with the Browns, I'm told Kendall has spoken with the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons. In addition, the Houston Texans have shown a level of interest and the Arizona Cardinals appear to be interested in Kendall as well.

The Browns have communicated with Kendall on multiple occasions up to this point. Cleveland scouts met with him in-person following the Toledo and Ashland pro days and have talked with Kendall on the phone as well.

Kendall has generated a lot of pre-draft buzz from a handful of NFL teams greatly due to his pro day performance, where he posted a 4.44 40-yard dash, 39 1/2-inch vertical jump, an 11-foot broad jump and 20 bench press reps.

In this past season at Baldwin Wallace, Kendall totaled 56 tackles, three interceptions, 12 passes broken up and one sack.

Kendall is listed at 6-feet, 180-pounds and can provide the Browns with much needed depth on the defensive side of the ball.

On the field, Kendall would provide the Browns with good man-to-man coverage play as well as a sure-fire tackler.

Kendall has a chance to be a day 3 draft pick and if not, the Browns will be a team to watch to sign him immediately following the conclusion of the draft as an undrafted free agent.

Kendall would only be the seventh player in the NFL to come from a D3 school.
