It was only one game, right?

Not according to ESPN, when it comes to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sunday's 31-17 home loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the 2019 season opener is apparently a harbinger for another dismal season for Bucs fans to endure.

ESPN's Football Power Index projects the Bucs to end up with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, giving them a 10.8-percent chance of landing the top pick. The only team ahead of the Bucs on ESPN's list is the Miami Dolphins, who were bludgeoned by the Baltimore Ravens 59-10 in Week 1, and have been widely discussed as a "tanking" franchise in search of one of this year's top quarterback prospects.

It's understandable for fans and analysts alike to be skeptical of the Bucs after Sunday's showing, but I'd pump the brakes on putting them just below the Dolphins in terms of NFL futility this season.
