(On what he has learned in the first week of training camp)

“Going against our receivers, they’re so diverse in size and speed. I just learn how to play different kind of receivers. A big body receiver like Mike Evans, you have to play different if you’re going against Mike Evans rather than going against DeSean Jackson. They give you different things, so I guess that’s the biggest thing I’ve learned through this first week.”

(On how it is to have contact in practice since he a physical college player)

“Pads do help, but I’m going to play my game regardless whether we’re in shorts and jerseys or whatever we are doing. Pads do help me become more of a physical corner, but I try to stay in my game in anything I’m doing.”

(On how much physicality players can get away with in the NFL versus college)

“They’re stronger and they have a lot of experience. They know the tricks, and the ins-and-outs of using their hands and getting away with it. On this level, it’s a lot more elite, and they’re more into their craft. You have to really be careful with where you place your hands and how you come in and out your breaks.”

(On how beneficial it is to get those extra reps while Brent Grimes has been hurt)

“It’s been really helpful for us, to move up to the first group and go against those guys. It’s been a great experience for us. It’s been great for me and M.J. [Stewart]. We love the experience and we love to compete. So it’s been really great for us.”
