Quick Recap of Cardinals loss in Tampa Bay
Things didn't work as planned for the Cardinals as they tried to defeat their former coach included some great things, like a fourth-quarter fake punt, but too many mistakes. Maxx Williams dropped as huge TD pass on 4th down in the 4th quarter.
Kyler Murray also had his first interception in six games and a Patrick Peterson offsides on a missed field goal cost the Cards in a 30-27 loss.
Cardinals had plenty of chances to win this game. Plenty of mistakes were made by the Cardinals on both sides of the ball this game and they came at the worse times.
Christian Kirk caught his first three touchdown passes from Kyler Murray, a 33-yarder, 69-yarder and 15-yarder, and Murray was excellent as he surpassed Dax Prescott's rookie record for consecutive passes without an interception. Murray finished 27-for-44 with 324 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
David Johnson returned to the lineup and played often alongside fellow running back Kenyan Drake, but the Buccaneers' top-ranked rush defense held the Cardinals to only 75 rushing yards.
The Cardinals have a tough matchup next week as they face the only remaining undefeated team. They just played the 49ers the previous last week. Cardinals will be more familiar with Kyle Shanahan's offense, but it will be a tough matchup non the less.
