Cardinals top-rated players through the first three weeks of 2019
The Cardinals haven't exactly been fantastic this year. Though they had a few close games where the chips didn't fall their way, there haven't been a lot of Arizona players worth bragging about.
According to Pro Football Focus, the Cardinals have just one player with an overall grade exceeding 80, and just four players whose overall grades are above a 70. Here are the Cardinals' top-rated players through the first three weeks of the season:
Overall grade: 87.3
Maxx Willliams is the highest graded player for the Cardinals through 3 weeks. He has been an excellent blocker for the Cardinals with a 89.5 run blocking grade and 75.4 pass block grade according to PFF. Williams only has 2 catches for 39 yards.
Overall grade: 76.6
Chandler Jones is Cardinals highest rated defensive player with a 76.6 overall grade. Jones is having a great start to the season. Through 3 games, he already has 3 sacks and 3 force fumbles which has given him a high pass rush grade of 83.6.
Overall grade: 75.6
Budda Baker is Cards 2nd highest rated defender with a 75.6 overall grade. He has a 71.2 coverage grade and a 76.2 run defense grade to go with his 13 tackles and 1 force fumbles.
Overall grade: 72.9
Corey Peters has been a pleasant surprise on the inside of the defensive line. He has 77.0 run grade by PFF and is credit with 1 sack, 7 tackles and 2 tackles for loss. He's been an anchor in the run defense where no other Arizona player has over a 60 grade.
