One of Cardinals best players wasn't included in NFL's Top 100 list?

NFL Network worked their way up through the top 100 players the last several days and Chandler Jones missed the cut. How is this possible? He has leads the entire league with 41 sacks over the last 3 season and has 30 over the last two season.

Arizona Cardinals official Twitter account came out with this tweet last night after Jones was excluded in the league's top 100 list.

Joe Thomas of just did his ranking of the best passrushers regardless of position and Chandler Jones was 7th on his list. Above names such as DeMarcus Lawrence, who finished #45 on the list, and Joey Bosa(#56).

Thomas had this to say about the star passrusher:

Entering his eighth NFL season, Jones is a slippery pass rusher who has enjoyed a steady and excellent career -- in New England andArizona. His production and value often go unnoticed because of the minimal success the Cardinals have had since he joined the team in 2016 (the team has a record of 18-29-1 in that span). The 6-5, 265-pound linebacker has been a beast nonetheless, logging 41 sacks over the last three seasons. Those numbers are all the more impressive considering Arizona has been on the losing end more often than not during Jones' tenure in the desert, meaning opponents tended to run the football in the second half, eliminating opportunities to get to the quarterback. Cardinals opponents have logged 1,617 combined pass attempts since 2016 (tied for 23rd in the NFL) and 1,341 rushing attempts (sixth-most).

It's crazy the lack of respect Chandler Jones is getting across the league. With the move back to a 3-4 this season and with Jones slimming down and becoming quicker. I think he'll return to his 2017 version of himself where he finished with a career bests 17 sacks. Then he'll more surely be on NFL's Top 100 for 2020.

Where do you think Jones should have been ranked base on the Top 100? Does the 40-55 range seem about right? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below and make sure to follow me on Twitter @TylerJaggi
