Arizona Cardinals Now Control the 2023 NFL Draft

After the Chicago Bears moved down from the No. 1 pick, the 2023 NFL Draft now begins with the Arizona Cardinals.

The Arizona Cardinals have often found themselves in headlines this offseason (for right or wrong reasons), yet it was the Chicago Bears who made the biggest splash of the dead period thus far after trading away the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Carolina Panthers now are proud owners of the pick after giving up quite the haul that includes future/current picks on top of WR D.J. Moore, and they're locked in on draft a quarterback under new head coach Frank Reich.

There's a handful Carolina can choose from, too. Whether it be Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Will Levis or Anthony Richardson, the Panthers will now have their choice of who to elect as the team's future franchise quarterback.

The Houston Texans - picking next at No. 2 - are also in need of a quarterback and will likely have to settle for whatever leftovers Carolina leaves at the table.

Then, you have the Cardinals.

Arizona has a multitude of directions they can go with this pick. Two top passers drops top defensive talent to the Cardinals, a side of the ball they'll welcome any and all elite talent on. Names such as Will Anderson, Tyree Wilson and Jalen Carter are potential options.

Yet Arizona's favored to move out of the pick thanks to a variety of quarterback-hungry teams and the potential to gain additional draft capital with plenty of holes to fill on the roster.

With passers set to go 1-2, the 2023 NFL Draft starts with Arizona:
