The Los Angeles Chargers are entering the upcoming season with high expectations of reaching the Super Bowl. After a season filled with disappointments, particularly on the defensive side of the ball, the team is determined to turn their fortunes around.

The addition of All-Pro linebacker Eric Kendricks is seen as a crucial move in addressing their previous weaknesses in the linebacker position. With Kendricks leading the charge, the Chargers believe they can transform their defense into a formidable force.

While Kendricks' presence is expected to make a significant impact, it remains to be seen whether he alone can be the key to the Chargers' success. According to NFL expert Gary Davenport from Bleacher Report, Kendricks is considered the one player on the roster who has the potential to make or break the team's season. Head coach Brandon Staley had some high praise for the Pro Bowler and said he is the perfect player for his team.

"In the NFL, anytime you play a position that's in the middle — inside linebacker, safety, quarterback, center — you have to be a connector," Staley said. "That's part of your value to the football team. It goes far beyond height, weight, speed. As good of a player as he is, the fact that he has that type of leadership capacity multiplies his impact. … Watching him from afar, the respect I have for him not just as a player but as a leader … you're talking about the highest caliber that you can join up with."

At 31 years old, Kendricks boasts an impressive career, but he has yet to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. This season, he is determined to achieve that feat with the Bolts, and the team has as good a chance as anyone.

The Chargers and Kendricks are united in their pursuit of their common goal: to be the last team standing when all is said and done.

With Kendricks' experience and leadership, combined with the team's determination, the Chargers are optimistic about their chances for success. They believe that this could be the season where they finally achieve their Super Bowl aspirations and bring glory to their franchise.
