Chargers Fans Argue Justin Herbert’s Rank Next To Super Bowl QB’s
The NFL is a quarterbacks league, and there are some special QB's around the league. One of them is none other than LA Chargers' own, Justin Herbert. The righty with a cannon has already established himself as one of the most talented QB's in such a short amount of time. His arm strength, athleticism, ability to move around the pocket, and create something out of nothing is truly special.
Although the gifts he access are special there are other QB's with the same type of talent, but already more accomplished/proven. The Beerly Football account sent out a post with a picture of Herbert, Jalen Hurts, and Joe Burrow with the caption reading, "Start one, bench one, Cut one." People in the comments did just that and like always with these posts, it was controversial. Here are where some fans ranked the Chargers QB among the three.
People are rightfully entitled to their opinion; however, their reasoning has a lot to do with recency bias. The Chargers imploded in the playoffs, while Hurts led his team to the Super Bowl, and Burrow balled out throughout the playoffs once again. Herbert also had a down season in 2022 as we saw a decrease in his yards, touchdowns, and QBR.
All three guys are the best of the best at their position and have shown to be MVP-type players in their careers. Herbert flashed on the scene in his first season and immediately showed why he was a top-10 pick in the draft. He's shown signs of having the potential to be the best QB in the league.
Those tweets above create nothing but conflict and are all for show. Justin has the talent, but to be put in that conservation, he needs to win in the regular season and the playoffs.
