Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill, RB Damien Williams Exit with Injuries vs. Chargers

Hill questionable to return, while Williams and safety Jordan Lucas have both been ruled out for the remainder of the game

The injury bug continued biting the Chiefs Monday night in Mexico City with starting receiver Tyreek Hill and running back Damien Williams both leaving the game with injuries.

Hill limped off the field at the end of the team's first offensive drive with a hamstring injury, coming up lame at the end of deep target from quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Athletic trainers initially worked on Hill's right hamstring on the sidelines, but he later left for the locker room. He returned to the sidelines starting the second half but has yet to re-enter the game. Hill was the target of two passes on the opening drive without recording a catch. 

The Chiefs offense stalled in the first half without Hill. Mahomes finished with the lowest first-half offensive output of his career, heading to halftime 8-of-15 passing for 63 yards with an interception.

Williams left the game with 4:21 remaining in the second quarter. After a short gain for 2 yards, Williams grimace while clutching the left side of his rib cage. The club initially ruled him questionable to return before ruling him out in the second half. Williams exited with 7 yards on four carries along with a catch for 6 yards. 

LeSean McCoy took Williams' role as the team's lead back. He left the game in fourth quarter for a concussion evaluation, leaving Darrel Williams as the team's only remaining running back in the game.

Safety Jordan Lucas also left the game late in the first half with a shoulder injury. The club has ruled him out for the remainder of the game. 

Center Austin Reiter briefly left the game for a concussion evaluation but later returned to the contest.
