FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys are trying to put a loss - and the communication problems that contributed to it - behind them. But as they prep for a visit to Detroit, they have an immediate problem: Health along the offensive line.

On Wednesday, as Dallas practiced in the backyard here at The Star in Frisco, the right side of the Cowboys’ line (Zack Martin and La’el Collins) were not participants. The left side of the Cowboys' line (Tyron Smith and Connor Williams) was not intact, as Williams has undergone arthroscopic knee surgery and Tyron is battling through various aches and pains and so appeared to be only a limited participant - though as you see below, he's officially listed as "full.''

So with Martin dealing with an elbow injury and while Collins is dealing with a back issue, the first-team O-line featured folks like backup tackle Cameron Fleming (who has his own calf problem), and Joe Looney and Xavier Su'a-Filo (who will start this week in place of Williams) flanking starting center Travis Frederick. Rookie Brandon Knight likely played a role with this fivesome as well.

Meanwhile, receiver Amari Cooper (knee) will likely not do much this week until Sunday, defensive back C.J. Goodwin came off the field for an unspecified reason, and we didn't spot D-lineman Michael Bennett during the open-media portion of the workout. And now you can see Bennett and Goodwin were both out for non-injury reasons.
