FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys' positive injury news trickled in over the course of Thursday here at The Star in Frisco, first with two hobbling O-linemen, then with two ailing cornerbacks and finally with a "stubborn-in-a-good-way star receiver.

We are a long way from Sunday and the evening visit from the Philadelphia Eagles. But Thursday was a start ... first with a step forward for Tyron Smith and La'el Collins, who both did "individual work'' on the sideline, in helmets, along with their O-line teammates here inside The Star. (Read more here.)

Meanwhile, I was given positive reports on the "backyard'' work of cornerbacks Byron Jones and Anthony Brown, each of them dealing with hamstring injuries. (Brown is likely not going to play, but still.)

And then there is wide receiver. Nothing good yet on Randall Cobb (back); we shall see. But Amari Cooper spoke boldly about how much he wants to over come his quad injury. You can read more about that here ... and watch the Fish Report Video above.
