An offensive lineman for the Super Bowl-bound Philadelphia Eagles has been indicted on rape and kidnapping charges, according to prosecutors in Ohio.

The charges against Josh Sills stem from an incident that happened in Guernsey County in Ohio in December of 2019.

Sills, an Eagles backup offensive lineman who made the NFC championship team this year as an undrafted free agent, is alleged to have "engaged in sexual activity that was not consensual and held a victim against her will,'' according to prosecutors and the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office.

Law enforcement's investigation into the case led to a grand jury this week eventually indicted Sills on one felony count of rape and one felony count of kidnapping.

Sills, 25, played high school football in Ohio and as a college football player  attended both West Virginia and Oklahoma State.

He played just a handful of snaps for the Eagles this season, appearing in just one game against the Cardinals on Oct. 9, on the way to their season that lands them in the Super Bowl, where they will play against the Kansas City Chiefs in 11 days.

Sills is slated to appear in court on the matter on Feb. 16, just four days after the Eagles - the chief rival of the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East - play in the Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.
