FRISCO – Michael Gallup? We've detailed his plan to play Sunday. La'el Collins? We've already reported that he'll be ready for the Packers, too. But DeMarcus Lawrence, with not one, not two, but three injuries that caused him to be limited in Thursday's practice here inside The Star? If you are the Dallas Cowboys and worried about Aaron Rodgers, the Tank Story is The Story.

Gallup practiced for the first time in three weeks on Wednesday, and while he told the media that he "did a couple reps, not a whole lot,'' a source termed his return from recent knee surgery and his practice work "impressive.'' On Thursday he was again listed as "limited,'' but I'm told he did more than that.

Thursday's workout once again did not La'el Collins, the right tackle who sat out Wednesday with back soreness and did the same here. But as we reported on Thursday morning, Collins plans on playing Sunday.

Left tackle Tyron Smith (ankle) is slated to miss this game, but Tyron tells me his replacement, Cameron Fleming, will "more than fine. He's got it.''

In other Thursday injury news: Tyrone Crawford (hips) surprised by getting in some work and being elevated to "limited.' Another starting D-lineman, Antwaun Woods, returned to practice despite his knee issue.

And now to DeMarcus Lawrence. We already knew he was dealing with a dinged-up shoulder and a sore knee. But now Cowboys coach Jason Garrett reveals that Tank's "biggest thing is a heel bruise. He's getting treatment for that.'

So, knee. Shoulder. Heel bruise. And here comes Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, praised by Garrett as by-the-numbers arguably the NFL's best-ever QB.S

Said Garrett: “He’s really good in the pocket. He’s really good out of the pocket. He’s really good on time. He’s really good when the play breaks down. He is. Go back and look at his career. ... I bet his rating is better than anybody who has ever played the game. His touchdown-to-interception ratio is better than anybody who has ever played the game. All that stuff. He’s a really good player.”

Yeah, chasing around Aaron Rodgers might be The Story on Sunday. Therefore Tank Lawrence's health is The Story today.
