There's likely just one way for the Dolphins to get in the playoffs:
The six seed.
They're not beating out the Patriots for the AFC East, and the Los Angeles Chargers are in position to grab the top wild card spot, which is the fifth seed.
So, without a game on Sunday, the Dolphins needed to stay within striking distance of the other mediocrities in their conference. And they did. Maybe Miami should take more weeks off.
Baltimore squeaked by Cincinnati.
Indianapolis smoked Tennessee.
That means there are five teams at 5-5.
And all four of those above.
The Dolphins have beaten the Titans, but lost to the Bengals.
They play the Colts next week, and it's fair to call that an early elimination game.
Now the question is whether the Dolphins rush Ryan Tannehill back, if he's even able.
