After just four tackles as a rookie with the Saints, Vince Biegel is carving out a role as a linebacker with the Miami Dolphins. Biegel has played over 60 percent of Miami's snaps over the last two weeks.

In that time he has registered 11 tackles and a sack. On the year, he has five quarterback hits and two tackles for a loss.

Biegel has impressed each-and-every week for the Dolphins and was awarded for his efforts as his snap count continues to grow.

The former Wisconsin standout was taken by the Miami Dolphins when moving Kiko Alonso and his large contract. The Dolphins were willing to take anything they could get for Alonso and found a true diamond in the rough.

"I believe it was last week – he plays with extension," defensive coordinator Patrick Graham said of Biegel on Tuesday. "Like if you watch the play from this past weekend when he broke through for the sack, it was blocked at first, but then the hands – he remained active with his hands – he kept pushing and clawing through. You have to play with extension and continually use your hands. If you watch that clip, that’s what he does. He’s a long body who plays with his hands. That’s going to aid in the pass rush. That’s going to aid in the run game. I think that’s – if you go back and revisit that play – that’s a perfect example of his physical tools that aside from the motor and all that stuff like that, the physical tools of playing with your hands, playing with extension and being violent and working you throughout the down will help him out.”

Based on Graham's comments, Biegel seems like a true professional who is working to get better every week. With Miami currently in rebuilding mode, he will get every opportunity to show his long-term worth to the franchise.
