Sam Eguavoen entered the 2019 season with plenty of hype surrounding his potential. Coach Brian Flores was the linebacking coach in New England and may thought the hand-picked stud from the CFL could jump right into action and find success.

However, Miami's defense has struggled and Flores is starting to search for new options. In steps Vince Biegel, who played with the Saints in limited time last season before being traded to the Dolphins in exchange for Kiko Alonso.

Biegel had his best performance of the year on Sunday and played 41 snaps. He had four tackles on Sunday to go with two quarterback hits. He recorded his first sack of the season week two against the Patriots.

"I try to maximize the work [we do] every week," defensive coordinator Patrick Graham said.  "You’ve got to throw effort at it. You’ve got to throw effort at it and it definitely is a challenge, but I don’t know if I would use the phrase ‘more work.’ You’ve definitely got to throw effort at it to get ready for those guys.”
