OUTLOOK: The balanced attack of the Northern Illinois offense reflects in Scharping’s all-around game. The Green Bay native has started the past four seasons, primarily at right and left tackle. His speed seemed a bit questionable during the week of Senior Bowl practices which could hinder his draft grade somewhat. Overall, Scharping has his limitations but could be a potential starter in the right scheme because of his toughness and tenacity. He has a chance to be a guard at worst case but his best spot will be as a right tackle in a run heavy scheme.
