#196 Jets - Blessuan Austin, CB, Rutgers

OUTLOOK: Widely considered one of the best prospects on the whole entire Rutgers roster, Blessuan Austin’s last two seasons have been lost due to ACL tears. While injuries have forced him off from contributing much to his tape, Austin has the length and ability in coverage to possibly develop into something down the road. Austin demonstrates solid all-around ball skills and doesn’t struggle when the ball is in the air. He looks natural in his transition which helps him adjust to balls mid-air. Austin also has good size for a corner, and in press coverage can use his long arms to prevent receivers from getting a free release. While Austin looks to have solid overall speed for a corner, teams must keep in mind that he is coming off back to back ACL injuries with his most previous one happening back in early September. Austin sometimes seems to be a step late in his anticipation of a play, which leaves him prone to quick passes, and plays were the quarterback is scrambling. Has impressive traits you want to see in a pressing, man coverage cornerback but injury questions marks will surround him. Very solid showing at his Pro Day in March points to a possible steal for some team.

#197 Ravens - Trace McSorley, QB, Penn State

OUTLOOK: After a prolific Penn State career, McSorley departs with nearly every major passing record in school history, thriving in the Nittany Lions zone read scheme. The offense revolves around quick reads and decision-making, something McSorley does extremely well. However, his passing mechanics go against the grain, as he’s more of a pusher than a thrower and tends to struggle under pressure. The dual-threat quarterback can pick up first downs with his feet but his lack of size and average arm strength make it difficult to envision him transitioning to the next level. He’ll most-likely have to earn his keep as a training camp tryout.
