Originally from Baltimore, Maryland. Attended Overlea High School. Began his college career at ASA College. Decided to redshirt his first year. As a redshirt sophomore, played in eight games, totaling forty one tackles, 8.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery. Transferred to Liberty University prior to the 2020 season. During the shortened 2020 season, he started in all eleven games, totaling thirty eight tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, which ranked first on the team, and 8.5 sacks, which was also the most on the team. As a junior, played in nine games, totaling twenty five tackles and six tackles for loss. He missed part of the 2021 season due to suffering an injury.
