The Atlanta Falcons will be short-handed in their secondary when they face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon. Starting cornerback Desmond Trufant has been declared out for the second straight week with a toe injury. With Los Angeles’ wide receiver trio of Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks in town, Isaiah Oliver and Kendall Sheffield will have their hands full trying to keep them in check.

There is some good news on the report this week. Cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson was a full participant at practice on Friday and will be ready to play against the Rams. Guard James Carpenter (knee) was and wide receiver Julio Jones (hip) were limited in practice on Friday but both are expected to start.

For the Rams, linebacker Clay Matthews (jaw) has been declared out for this week’s game. Starting running back Todd Gurley fully participated in practice on Friday and is expected to start but his backup, Malcolm Brown has been listed as doubtful with an ankle injury. Rookie running back Darrell Henderson will take over the back-up role against the Falcons.

It also seems that recently acquired cornerback Jalen Ramsey has recovered from his back injury. He was a full participant in practice on both Thursday and Friday and will start in the Rams’ secondary on Sunday.
