NFC South Notebook: Week 11 to feature pair of division games

For the first time in the 2019 NFL season, fans will get a pair of division games in the NFC South on the same Sunday.

In the final seven weeks of the season, NFL fans will be treated to eight NFC South matchups. That's quite a lot for the second half considering there's only 12 in a season.

Both will take place at 1 pm Sunday. The Falcons will visit Carolina while Tampa Bay gets to host New Orleans.

If the Falcons-Saints matchup last week proved anything, any of these four teams can beat each other on any given week.

The question for the Falcons entering this weekend is whether they can repeat the masterful defensive performance they posted against the Saints. While they didn't get any takeaways, Atlanta recorded a season-high six sacks.

Panthers Kyle Allen has been turnover prone lately, with five interceptions in the last three games and seven total fumbles this year. The other key to the game will be Carolina's 29th-ranked run defense against the Falcons running game, which will likely be without Devonta Freeman and Ito Smith this week.

The Buccaneers-Saints showdown is a rematch from Week 5. New Orleans won, 31-24, but it didn't feel that close. Backup signal caller Teddy Bridgewater threw four touchdowns in the Saints win.

New Orleans hasn't lost two games in a row since the first two weeks of the 2017 season while Tampa Bay is trying to record its first two-game winning streak since early December last year.
