Disappointed but Darnold's been out. Let's see what he can do with a healthy squad.

Losing one player, even if it's your starting QB, is no excuse for the putrid offensive showing that they've put on so far. When you're 1/4 of the way into the season and the defense is outscoring the offense, that screams volumes. Other coaches and teams have been THRIVING despite the loss of their starting QB, so there's no excuse for this, except that Gase was a TERRIBLE hire. He's yet another inflexible idiot who tries to force the players to fit the system rather than adapting the system to fit the players. IT NEVER WORKS. It failed in Miami, it's failing here. He is nothing more than the guy who happened to be the OC while Peyton Manning was playing in Denver. I said it when he was being considered, I screamed it when he was hired (and lamented the loss of Sam Darnold's career) and I stand by it now. They could not have made a worse choice. He's Rich Kotite 2.0 AT BEST.
