Jets get on the board with a Sam Darnold 2-yard TD pass to Ty Montgomery

After getting off to a slow start against the Saints, Jets quarterback Sam Darnold connected for a two-yard touchdown pass with Ty Montgomery with 8:22 left in the second quarter of the third preseason game. 

This was Darnold's second touchdown of the preseason. 

Montgomery, after fumbling on his first touch of the game, made a nice bounce back with the touchdown. The touchdown is Montgomery's second of the preseason after he rushed for one last week. 

Despite the touchdown, Darnold and the Jets had their consecutive games with an opening drive touchdown snapped. The score comes on their fifth drive of the game.
