Two possessions, two takeaways. The New York Jets defense came out the gates extremely strong on Sunday in the season opener vs. the visiting Buffalo Bills

The Jets forced their first turnover of the season on the opening drive when Jordan Jenkins sacked Bills quarterback Josh Allen and DL Steve McClendon recovered the fumble.

On the ensuing drive the Jets' offense then went three and out but the defense struck pay dirt on the very next play.

A short Allen pass across the middle was intended for Cole Beasley but it bounced out of his hands and LB C.J. Mosley intercepted it for a 17-yard score with 10:34 remaining in the first quarter.

New Jets kicker Kaare Vedvik missed the PAT.
