WATCH: Sam Darnold expects Jets' offense to be 'great' and 'really fun' in 2019

The second-year quarterback believes the Jets will produce a ton of points

Sam Darnold envisions an offensive transformation in Adam Gase's system.

The second-year quarterback is confident the Jets will significantly improve on last season's production. In 2018, the Jets ranked 25th in yards and 29th in points per game.

The biggest change Darnold has noticed so far under Gase is an uptick in tempo.

“First of all, we’re gonna be really aggressive,” Darnold said to Olivia Landis of New York Jets.com. “We’re definitely gonna try to push the ball, potentially see some tempo here and there, so it’ll be super fun. And we’ve got a lot of weapons to be able to utilize, which is gonna be a really fun part, as well.”

One of those main weapons will be running back Le'Veon Bell, whom Darnold is extremely excited about.

“He’s so versatile in terms of what he can do,” Darnold said to New York Jets.com. “We’re gonna attack the defense in a lot of ways, and a lot of it will have to do with him.”

Overall, Darnold is grateful for his entire offensive unit and forecasts a special season in 2019.

“We have a ton of guys surrounding us in this great offense,” Darnold said to New York Jets.com. “I think, that’s gonna do a lot of damage. I think it’s gonna be really fun.”
