Darius Slay is well aware of the dangers of matching up against Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Slay was asked Friday regarding his thoughts on when Rodgers is the most dangerous on the field.

"He is dangerous when they put the ball down, and say hike," Slay said. "It don't matter. When he trots out there on the field, it's go time."

This week, it has been established that containing Green Bay running back Aaron Jones will be essential for the Lions' defense.

"Man, for him (Jones) to be so little and so short on film, he is running so hard," Slay said. "Credit to them and the O-line because at one point in time, that was not their strength. He filled that need for them. We sure got to have eyes on him for sure."
