I think Matthew Stafford plays a decent game and the Lions keep Aaron Rodgers contained. But Aaron Jones & the Packers' defense end up being the difference. Packers 27, Lions 17

With no Davante Adams, the Packers will have to rely on unheralded receivers to make plays. Aaron Rodgers can cover some wideout deficiencies, but it will be difficult to completely overcome. As long as the Lions can limit costly turnovers, their well-balanced offense should be able to outduel the revamped Packers defense. Lions 31, Packers 30

Not having Davante Adams, I think, will make it a little bit more difficult for Aaron Rodgers. Also, the bye week for Detroit helps them by providing an extra week to implement the proper schemes for that difficult Green Bay defense. I think Kerryon Johnson and Kenny Golladay have productive nights. Lions 27, Packers 24

Aaron Jones had a huge game last week, but the Lions are good at taking away teams' best options. I see the defensive line, led by Damon Harrison, clogging the middle, taking him out of this game. Davante Adams is out, and that leaves Aaron Rodgers looking for his second and third options to step up. Justin Coleman and Rashaan Melvin lack interceptions, but have been good at defending against the pass. They have a combined 11 pass deflections this year. Kerryon Johnson will have room to run, as the Packers' defense is giving up 138.2 yards/game, which ranks 26th-worst in the NFL. They struggle against the run. Lions 27, Packers 23

The news that tight end T.J. Hockenson cleared concussion protocol and will be available tonight is huge for the Lions' offense. The Packers' defense will be forced to address the Lions' two tight-end sets and an additional offensive weapon is now available for Matthew Stafford. The Lions will have their hands full with Green Bay running back Aaron Jones, who has emerged as a weapon for the Packers. The Lions' offensive line has a long night ahead of it.
