The Lions lost a close one to the Green Bay Packers on Monday night, 23-22. Let’s break down the snap counts for every Lions player, and offer a few observations on how a few individuals were deployed.

Matthew Stafford - 59 snaps (100 percent)

Kenny Golladay - 47 (80 percent)

Danny Amendola - 20 (34 percent)

Marvin Hall - 10 (17 percent)

KR Jamal Agnew - 2 (3 percent)

Tight ends:

T.J. Hockenson - 33 (56 percent)

Offensive linemen:

Taylor Decker - 59 (100 percent)

Joe Dahl - 47 (80 percent)

Graham Glasgow - 41 (69 percent)

Kenny Wiggins - 30 (51 percent)

Observations

Continuing a trend from recent weeks, the Lions are still rotating their three offensive guards.

Wiggins played the fewest of the three, as he should. However, he was still in on over 50 percent of the snaps.

Glasgow has arguably been the Lions' best lineman, and yet, he is still losing reps to an inferior player in Wiggins.

At the running back position, Ty Johnson was a non-factor, while Bawden saw a hefty dose of playing time.

Kerryon Johnson was the workhorse out of the backfield, which has been the case since the departure of C.J. Anderson.

And as for Agnew, he saw a couple offensive snaps -- his first appearance on offense since Week 4 of last year.

DEFENSE (74 total snaps)

Defensive linemen:

DE Trey Flowers - 51 (69 percent)

DT A’Shawn Robinson - 50 (68 percent)

Linebackers:

Jarrad Davis - 72 (97 percent)

Devon Kennard - 62 (84 percent)

Jahlani Tavai - 44 (59 percent)

Christian Jones - 42 (57 percent)

Cornerbacks:

Rashaan Melvin - 74 (100 percent)

Darius Slay - 72 (97 percent)

Justin Coleman - 57 (77 percent)

Mike Ford - 2 (3 percent)

Safeties:

Tracy Walker - 73 (99 percent)

Tavon Wilson - 55 (74 percent)

Will Harris - 36 (49 percent)

C.J. Moore - 3 (4 percent)

Observations

Perhaps most notable was the spike in snaps for Tavai. He out-snapped Jones, and played in over 50 percent of the snaps. This comes after Tavai only played in 13 snaps in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

After being promoted from the practice squad just hours before the game, Strong saw 21 snaps along the defensive front.

No matter who the Lions dress on the defensive line, it’s a constant rotation.

Outside of that, the defense remained status quo.
