Amos on Rome: ‘Sky’s the limit’
Here is what Green Bay Packers safety Adrian Amos had to say about Aaron Rodgers, who he called a "generational" quarterback. The full audio is below.
I always knew he was a great quarterback. I think my first start ever was against Aaron. You just see the difference between him and other quarterbacks as far as the throws he’s able to make, how smart he is, too. The thing I learned, just being here, is more of his personality. I know sometimes, he seems shy or shut off with the media, but around the locker room, he’s just like one of the other guys. He’s talking and joking with everybody. One of the first players that greeted me when I came into the building was him. He came in and said welcome to the team. That’s what I would say I learned about him that I didn’t know before I got here.
The Packers host the Detroit Lions on Monday night. With a win, the Packers will have swept the first round of games against the NFC North.
"I’m big on just the next game," Amos told reporters on Tuesday. "This is the next game. This next game is important because it’s the next game. It’s still early in the season and it’s a long season. At the same time, that’s why we have to keep it one game at a time. If we go out there and beat them, we still have a lot more season to go. If we go out there and lose, I’m not throwing stuff out of my locker because I’m mad or anything. We just have to execute, get down to the film work and get after it this week."
