Reich Calls Miles Sanders 'A Really Big Signing'

Carolina's new running back checks all the boxes.

Miles Sanders is no Christian McCaffrey but he is a quality NFL back and one that is looking to cement himself as a top back in the league.

Sanders is coming off the best season of his career as he helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl, setting career highs in rushing yards (1,269), touchdowns (11), rushing attempts (259), and yards per game (74.6).

"It's addicting; you get there once, and you want to go there every year," Sanders said. "I know what it takes. And the stuff we that we did last year, everything worked on all type of levels. Even in the building. Just everybody working to a certain extent and everything just clicking. I know how that vibe feels. I know how a Super Bowl team feels at this point, just chemistry, working together, and literally invested into every single day. Taking no days off, and it's addicting. It's an addicting feeling. And hopefully, we can get to that point and create a championship team over here."

Although the pads haven't come out yet, Sanders is already impressing his new head coach, Frank Reich.

"Miles has looked good. I mean, he's a three-down back. He can do a little bit of everything. He's explosive. He's fast. He's really got good vision and patience. Really smart. On third down when he has to block, he's a willing blocker. Great teammate. Really that signing was a really big signing for us. I knew we knew it but now we really know it."

Last week, Reich also tabbed Sanders as RB1 which comes as no surprise but did say that he likes the makeup of the room along with the idea of a "by-committee" approach.
