The Carolina Panthers went through their Tuesday practice session without quarterback Cam Newton.

Newton has faced criticism and questions regarding his health ever since the Panthers' 20-14 loss on Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carolina's season has began with a disappointing 0-2 start and it has seemed that Newton's healthy correlates with that.

After getting bombarded with questions regarding health, Newton and head coach Ron Rivera have deflected and said that rust is the only issue. It's hard to make that argument when Newton has negative two rushing yards in the first two games, and they refuse to run a quarterback sneak play.

It's unclear whether or not his absence on Tuesday is due to injury, but it is very possible.
