During today's press conference, Panthers head coach Matt Rhule talked about how impressed he has been with EDGE Brian Burns:

"He takes the game very seriously and he showed up having put on some weight which is one of the keys to him. He's always going to be a great rusher, but we want him to be a complete and total defensive player. I think when you show up with the weight that he put on, you're basically saying hey, I want to do this. I like watching him out there, I think he's going to have a special year."

Burns didn't receive too many opportunities to shine under Rivera, so it's refreshing to see him take advantage of a bigger role this season.

Yeah that wrist injury really held him back. It's nice to hear he added on about 15 lbs this offseason. He's going to need it playing in Snow's defense as an every down guy.

He was slightly undersized, but now he's at an ideal weight. Hopefully, he maintained his speed on the edge.

How many sacks you think he finishes with?

I'll give him around 10-12 sacks. The interior should help him significantly.
