Following the New England Patriots 16-10 win on the road over the Buffalo Bills in Week 4, quarterback Tom Brady’s sentiment during the postgame conference was simple.

“We have to do better,” he said.

The 42 year old quarterback is absolutely right.

Though the Patriots are now 4-0 and leading the AFC East, their victory today came despite an incredibly lackluster performance by the offensive line. Like puppies tumbling over one another, the line scrambled and failed to deliver much coverage for Brady. A banged up offensive line that consists of backups Ted Karras and Marshall Newhouse in starting roles and Newhouse was sick all week may have played a part in the units overall poor play.

Perhaps the poor play points to some of Brady’s inconsistent playing; thankfully it’s Week 4 and there’s time to correct today’s blunders and mishaps. Though the offense managed to only score six points during their fourth win of the season in as many weeks, they played against a Bills defense that brought their absolute best in a key divisional game.

Having wide receiver Julian Edelman on the field after last week's chest injury still failed to produce the rhythm the Patriots are more than capable of. There was no synchronicity despite leading on the scoreboard, and during his postgame remarks, Brady was aware of it.

When asked if he felt more under pressure today then in the first three games of the season, Brady said, “Offensively, we struggled. They force a lot of teams to struggle, and if we're going to score more points, then we have to do a lot better job than we did today. We didn’t, so that’s just the way it goes.”

Self awareness is one thing Brady hasn’t missed today. Humble room for improvement is on the radar for both the quarterback and head coach Bill Belichick.
