Coming off their much needed mini bye week, the New England Patriots (6-0) will face off against the New York Jets (1-4) in East Rutherford, NJ for some Monday Night Football to finish off Week 7 action.

Though victorious last time the Patriots and the Jets met during Week 3, winning 30-14, the Monday night bout may not be as easy for New England this time around. The offensive line has been shaky at best in the last few weeks, and tonight quarterback Tom Brady is going to have to be able to pull out all the stops with a limited offense.

Running back Brandon Bolden played an excellent game against the Giants during Week 6, with a successful punt block recovered by defensive end Chase Winovich, giving him his first career touchdown. Bolden rushed for another touchdown in the first quarter and continued to be a dominating presence, something Brady is going to need to utilize in order to keep the winning streak alive.

Another contributing factor to the current 6-0 is the performance from the defense, who took it upon themselves to force four turnovers; one fumble and three interceptions. Linebacker Kyle Van Noy was responsible for the fumble recovery, and has no signs of stopping. Special teams will be integral tonight, as will a consistent performance from kicker Mike Nugent, who is filling in for Stephen Gostkowski while he sits on IR.

The Jets last meeting with Patriots wasn’t one to brag about, but they aren’t counting themselves out yet. With Brady turning the ball over in back-to-back-to-back games, and having been sacked seven times in the last two weeks, New York's defensive line may be able to find some holes to sneak through.

Coming off a win against the Dallas Cowboys and celebrating the return of quarterback Sam Darnold, who had been out with mono, as well as linebacker C.J. Mosley set to make his return after a groin injury, the Jets have a roster with more injuries than not, but they have some chutzpah, and that counts for something.

1st QUARTER

15:00 The Jets have won the toss and deferred and the Patriots will receive. 26 yard return by Brandon Bolden, already bringing last weeks intensity into tonight's game.

13:05 Sony Michel isn't joking around tonight. Did you see that run straight through the middle?

11:59 Brady throws 9 yard to Meyers; third down conversions, the bread and butter for the Patriots.

9:53 Another big 3rd down conversion! Though questionable, Edelman is playing well and Meyers is blocking like it's his job. It's part of his job. Good job Meyers.

8:05 Ten yard pick up for Ben Watson! Good thing we found a spot on the roster, huh?

6:15 Pitch to Sony Michel, with blocking by Newhouse and Watson, Michel walked the ball over the line for a touchdown!

PAT IS GOOD NE 7 - NYJ 0

5:21 Darnold throws blind and high; Devin McCourty picked the pass with ease and sets the Pats up for great field position.

3:53 Nugent kicks 34 yards through the uprights!

FIELD GOAL IS GOOD NE 10 - NYJ 0

2:22 Brady's quick slide and a long pass out to Bolden with a back shoulder fade; great catch, great throw; I don't want to jinx anything but maybe the offense is finding it's rhythm.

1:41 I hope I haven't spoken too soon.

1:32 Watson with a fourth down conversion - first of the season!

:09 Brady airs the ball to Dorsett for a 26 yard touchdown!

PAT IS GOOD NE 17 - NYJ 0

2nd QUARTER

14:49 Bell runs the ball for the Jets first down of the game.

14:01 Simon knocks the ball out of Darnold's hands! Van Noy recovered the ball and did bring it all the way to the end zone, but due to tripping, ankle touching, and the aforementioned decisions made by the refs, New England has the ball on the 48.

14:05 Michel is some kind of steamroller, picking up a first down with pure force.

12:44 Rookie Meyers just pulls the ball in around the 10 yard line

12:07 Four yard run by James White into the end zone; illegal block by Edelman, 1st and goal at the 11. Not bad... not great, but not bad.

9:18 Michel finds an opening and rushes a power play; touchdown!

PAT IS GOOD NE 24 - NYJ 0

8:30 Automatic first down for the Jets.

5:34 Darnold and Bell did their best to connect, but it just wasn't happening. A for effort, guys.

5:27 HUGE PICK by Harmon! Ball at the 1 yard line.

2:29 Darnold throws short down the field; the QB is definitely getting flustered.

2:14 Thomas and Darnold finally find each other 17 yards apart for a first down; two minute warning coming up in seconds.

:28 Edelman looks like he's having a hard time getting up...

 HALFTIME NE 24 - NYJ 0

3rd QUARTER

15:00 Jets receive the ball for a short gain

13:03 Darnold finds Anderson to almost make it to midfield; maybe during the halftime serenade by Charlie Puth, Darnold was able to calm down.

11:05 Gilmore with a HUGE pick and return off Darnold! It's his third of the season!

10:25 Michel the Machine picks up a first down.

9:12 Brady and Meyers are definitely starting to connect. For a rookie and a veteran to find a rhythm like this, especially with as shaky as the offense has been is wonderfully beautiful.

7:41 It isn't Darnold's night. Safety; NE 26 - NYJ 0

7:02 Williams went in for the sack on Brady, and as the ball left his hand a little shaky; Johnson with the interception.

6:18 Hightower read the play before it happened; Bell and the ball went in opposite directions for a reason.

6:08 Off of his back foot, Darnold throws another interception, Brooks, the former Jet with the grab in the Jets end zone!

3:58 Brady was forced to throw the ball away as Jenkins was putting a solid amount of pressure on him to avoid the sack.

1:23 Bolden picking up another first down; offense is really pulling it together tonight. The shakiness may be starting to level out.

:50 If White hadn't been tripped up, that could have easily been a rushing touchdown.

4th QUARTER

13:08 James White is having an incredible night; the pylon cam shows how fast and agile the man really is.

12:32 Michel rushes for his third touchdown of the night!

PAT IS GOOD NE 33 - NYJ 0

12:05 Olszewski with an exceptional return

9:58 Belichick is close to smiling; between an intentional delay of game; a penalty denied by the Jets, and then an intentional false start by the Patriots, again declined by the Jets... what are we doing here, guys?

4:07 Sony Michel was down on a knee; but he's jogging to the sideline

2:37 QB Stidham enters the game as the clock runs down and the younger guys on the team are getting some time on the field.

:30 The Patriots take a knee to end their largest shutout game against the Jets.

END OF GAME NE 33 - NYJ 0
