The New England Patriots are cutting veteran kicker Mike Nugent, according to the MMQB's Albert Breer.

New England signed Nugent back at the beginning of October after they placed Stephen Gostkowski on IR.

There was one kicker made available on Tuesday that the Patriots could take a chance on.

The Atlanta Falcons released Matt Bryant in an attempt to clear some cap space before the deadline. New England could make use of his services, as he has made 9-of-14 field goal attempts (64.3%) and has made 14-of-15 PATs this season.
