Report: Patriots trade future late round pick for Lions TE Michael Roberts

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots have traded a future, late-round draft pick to the Detroit Lions for tight end Michael Roberts, according to Justin Rogers of the Detroit News.

Roberts is entering his third year in the NFL. During his two seasons with Detroit, Roberts caught 13 passes for 146 yards and three touchdowns. He will be added to a TE room in New England which includes Ben Watson, Stephen Anderson, Matt LaCosse, Ryan Izzo and Andrew Beck.
