Luis Perez is a familiar name among Los Angeles Rams fans, as he has had two opportunities to join the team. Unfortunately, he could not secure a spot on the 53-man roster on either occasion. Nevertheless, his impressive performance in the XFL has caught the attention of NFL scouts, and he may receive another opportunity to play in the NFL.

On Saturday evening, Perez helped the Arlington Renegades secure their first XFL championship as they beat the D.C. Defenders. The Renegades entered the contest as 8.5-point underdogs, according to Caesars Sportsbook.

Perez completed 28 out of 36 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 7.7 yards per attempt. His performance earned him the well-deserved title of MVP in the championship game. His mid-season trade from the Vegas Vipers to the Renegades made his journey to the championship even more remarkable. This move proved pivotal in turning around Arlington's season and ultimately culminated in the title.

After being traded from the Vipers in Week 7, Perez stepped into the starting quarterback position for the Renegades. Throughout the season, he showcased his skills by throwing for 2,048 yards and recording 12 touchdowns.

So could this performance end up boosting his chances of getting an NFL opportunity? Perhaps. Perez has demonstrated exceptional performance in the XFL, albeit against comparatively lower competition. And considering that he has proven his ability to perform at a high level, it could just be a matter of time until that opportunity comes along.
