Many past and present players in the NFL will tell you that the league is a brotherhood—they may be on different teams, but when all is said and done, each and every player is part of a larger fraternity that is held together with admiration and respect. You always look out for your brothers.

Los Angeles Chargers running back, Melvin Gordon, is looking out for his fellow LA cohort, Todd Gurley. Gordon has heard all of the noise in the media surrounding Gurley's injury, and he is now speaking up.

“Man, I talked to Todd. Todd’s good, man," said Gordon, via NFL.com. "Y'all blowing that story out of proportion, Todd’s good man. Y’all could line up with Todd right now, he’d beat anybody in a race."

Gordon is no stranger to knee injuries. The 26-year-old went down with an MCL injury in 2018, which came after two prior serious knee injuries in 2016 and 2015. The Chargers workhorse has also dealt with hip and ankle injuries in his career as well. It's safe to say that he knows what he's talking about—when Gordon says that Gurley will be fine, he will probably be fine.

“The dude’s gonna be good," said Gordon. "I don’t know why people downplaying the man.”

Gordon's "confirmation" is just another in the long line of people declaring their confidence in Gurley's ability to return to true form. He may not ever be the bell cow RB that LA is used to, but chances are he will still be the dynamic playmaker that the Rams fanbase has fallen in love with.
