The Los Angeles Rams have several players set to hit free agency once the NFL Free Agency period begins on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

As of Sunday night, they have one less player to worry about convincing to stay in LA.

Dante Fowler, who the Rams acquired via trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2018 season, re-signed with LA. The Rams did not release the specifications the the deal, but ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that it is for one year.

The edge rusher played in 11 games for the Rams after the trade, including three in the postseason, and made nine starts. In his six regular-season starts, Fowler finished with a pass deflection, fumble recovery, two sacks and five quarterback hits.

Los Angeles still has several other free agents to focus on re-signing once free agency hits, including Ndamukong Suh, Lamarcus Joyner, C.J. Anderson and Troy Hill.

Now with Fowler committed to playing one more season in LA — as well as the addition of S Eric Weddle — the Rams will look to keep their defense among the elites. Once the free agency period begins, we will see how possible that is.
