Ravens Among NFL's Most 'Complete' Teams?

Following a busy offseason, the Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson enter this season with lofty expectations.

This offseason could go down as the busiest in Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson's five-year NFL career.

And not only because the former unanimous MVP recently signed a five-year $260 million contract.

With new offensive coordinator Todd Monken, and the addition of wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr., Zay Flowers and Nelson Agholor, this is a new-look offense for Jackson and Co.

However, CBS Sports believes these pieces can cement Baltimore into the NFL's elite - ranking them as the No. 8 most complete team in the league this season.

"The Ravens finally turned the page from both the Greg Roman era and from the days of refusing to invest at wide receiver," CBS Sports writes. "Todd Monken is here to open up the passing game, and Odell Beckham Jr., Nelson Agholor, and Zay Flowers are here to help him. If Rashod Bateman can actually stay healthy, there are actually a bunch of quality passing-game options outside of Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely."

Not only did the Ravens improved on the offensive side of the ball, but also revamped a defense that ranked among the league's best a season ago.

"The defense was better than you think last year, especially after adding Roquan Smith via trade," CBS Sports writes. "Cutting ties with Calais Campbell hurts the depth along the defensive front, and the edge rushers are more solid than spectacular, but with Smith, Marlon Humphrey, and Marcus Williams anchoring the back seven, the Ravens should still be quite good on that side of the ball."

Smith, a one-time All Pro recipient, joins a linebacking core of Patrick Queen, Odafe Oweh and David Ojabo.

Following a 10-7 campaign, the Ravens look to win their first playoff game since 2020 with roster full of expectations.
