Lamar Jackson Gets Another Nomination for FedEx Air Player of the Week

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is a finalist for this week’s FedEx Air Player of the Week award for his performance against the Cincinnati Bengals. 

Jackson completed 15 of 17 attempts (88.2 percent) for 223 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions for a 158.3 passer rating – the highest attainable mark – in the Ravens’ 49-13 win. He became the second quarterback to have multiple games with a 158.3 passer rating in a single season in NFL history.

Jackson had previously won both the FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Week awards earlier this season, the first player ever to do so in the 17 year history of the program.

Air Nominees

 Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 36 of 50 attempts (72.0 percent) for 446 yards, 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions for a 119.2 passer rating against the Tennessee Titans.

 New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones completed 26 of 40 attempts (65.0 percent) for 308 yards, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions for a 121.7 passer rating against the New York Jets.

Ground Nominees

 Tennessee running back Derrick Henry rushed for 188 yards on 23 attempts (8.2 avg.) and 2 touchdowns in the Titans’ 35-32 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

 Green Bay running back Aaron Jones rushed for 93 yards on 13 attempts (7.2 avg.) and 3 touchdowns in the Packers’ 24-16 win over the Carolina Panthers.

 Cleveland running back Nick Chubb rushed for 116 yards on 20 attempts (5.8 avg.) in the Browns’ 19-16 win over the Buffalo Bills.
