Russell Redskins Report!

ChrisRussell

It's time for the "Russell Redskins Report" or everything you need to know about the Redskins as they head to Charlotte for a matchup with the Panthers. You know by now that the Redskins still officially have a chance at the playoffs.

Yes, the sun was incredibly bright and no, there was nowhere else to go in order to get some authentic signage in the background, on the day after a "Skinless" Thanksgiving.

Redskins Park is a loud place and the media is not provided a quiet recording room.

The above video updated the Ryan Kerrigan situation, Paul Richardson, Chris Thompson and Josh Norman drama.

We've had a lot of columns and features up on the site this week.

Rick Snider was all over it as the Redskins beat the Lions for their 2nd win with his report card & post game column.

Plus, Rick wrote about a quartet of potential studs for Redskins fans to be excited about.

Ivan Lambert provided these observations & thoughts after watching the game back.

We welcomed Bryan Manning into the fold this week & he contributed a look back at the Redskins decision to bypass J.J. Watt for Ryan Kerrigan & Jarvis Jenkins. Plus we looked back at Kerrigan's consecutive games streak and where it ranked.

I tried to provide as much content as I could in addition to these gentlemen.

There was our Wednesday practice report and a roster move or two, a feature on the Redskins most productive defensive lineman, Matt Ioannidis, the Redskins meeting up with a familiar face and free agent bust this Sunday.

Bill Callahan said Dwayne Haskins took a big step forward in the win over Detroit, a point that can certainly be argued. The Redskins interim coach also likes rookie linebacker Cole Holcomb.

We also began a new "Victory Monday" staple feature, titled "Beers and Jeers" which honors those who stepped up their game.

Our game day coverage was top-notch at least in my humble opinion: We had you covered in the first-half of the game as the Redskins took a 13-6 lead to halftime. We had you caught up on everything in the second-half as the Redskins snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, allowing Dwayne Haskins to win his first NFL game and the Redskins first home win in 400 days.

We also had you covered before the game on a crazy Sunday morning with the story of Josh Norman being benched and then activated, along with the news of Daron Payne and Chris Thompson officially being inactive for Washington, along with the need for "Landon in Landover" to shine.

Also, there was sadness on the same day (Wednesday) for two different reasons. It was the 12-year anniversary of Sean Taylor's death and I made some admissions about my coverage and thoughts back then. Also, a family missing someone at Thanksgiving continued to protest Montae Nicholson and the Redskins.

However,  we can't do this without you so kindly asking for anyone who reads this to sign up & register an account while then heading to our community pages all over the site & posting your thoughts while interacting with Redskins fans & me.
