Mike Tomlin went through a long list of injuries that the Steelers are dealing with over the bye week. The team placed Stephon Tuitt on injured reserve after suffering a torn pectoral on Sunday night against Los Angeles. According to Tomlin, Tuitt will undergo surgery to repair his pec as early as today.

The players who have missed time this season should have a week to rest before testing their availability before playing Miami. Rosie Nix (knee), Steven Nelson (groin), James Washington (shoulder) and Mark Barron
(hamstring) were all names mentioned with a possibility to return in Week 8.

"Rosie Nix is progressing nicely," Tomlin said. "We'll see if he can get some work next week, and getting that work will be our guide for game availability. Same could be said for James Washington and Mark Barron, Steven Nelson."

Running back Jaylen Samuels is still recovering from a scope on his knee that will sideline him a month. After missing what will be two weeks following the bye, Tomlin says Samuels won't be ready to go by the time they take the field against the Dolphins.

"Less so for Jaylen but obviously he's coming off of a surgery," Tomlin said. "Although he's progressing nicely, he's probably not a candidate in the ways the other guys will be."

Tomlin also addressed the concerns for players who left Week 6 early. James Conner (quad), Joe Haden (groin) and T.J. Watt (abdomen) will all be tested through next week. According to Tomlin, their availability for Week 8 won't be determined until they attempt to practice.
